Salary range: 37,040 - 46,300

Interview: W/C 21st and 28th September

Contract type: Permanent

Wellcome is a global philanthropy. Our aim is to build healthier futures for everyone by funding science, leading policy and advocacy campaigns, and building partnerships.

We plan to spend £16bn over the next ten years, funding new discoveries in life, health, and wellbeing, and taking on three global health challenges: mental health, infectious disease and climate and health.

These challenges need the bold science we support, but they won’t be solved by science alone.

Where will I be working?

You'll join Wellcome's Communications team, working closely with colleagues across News and Content, Events and Studio teams. Reporting to the Media and Planning Lead, you'll play a key role in coordinating communications activity across the organisation, helping teams work together effectively to maximise the impact of Wellcome's work and reputation.

What will I be doing?

You'll coordinate communications planning and delivery across Wellcome, managing calendars, workflows and approvals to ensure activity is well-timed and strategically aligned. You'll support media relations and digital content projects, maintain content libraries, track performance metrics, coordinate stakeholders across teams and help deliver high-quality communications that engage external audiences and support Wellcome's mission.

We're looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented and confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You'll have experience in communications, media relations, public relations or a related field, with strong relationship-building and communication skills. If you're collaborative, proactive, calm under pressure and enjoy bringing people, plans and projects together to deliver great outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.

Minimum Criteria:

Strong organisational skills with experience coordinating multiple tasks and juggling competing priorities.

Understanding of cross-channel communications, platforms and methodologies and ability to utilise this to influence strategic planning decisions and work collaboratively across teams, influence strategic decisions.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.

Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple deadlines.

Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills, able to influence and advise colleagues at different levels of an organisation.
