Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills and a solid understanding of bookkeeping practices. You will be based in our showroom in Edinburgh - this is an office based role. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Proficiency in accounting software Xero is essential - please do not apply if you do not have Xero experience.

16 hours per week. We are flexible to what daya you will work each week. This role is office based - EH113XX.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records by recording day-to-day financial transactions.
Manage accounts payable and ensure timely payment of invoices.
Reconcile bank statements and prepare monthly financial reports.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
Proficiency in accounting software Xero is essential.
Strong understanding of accounts payable and general bookkeeping principles.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
