Purchasing Administrator - MAT Leave cover,

Minimum 12 months fixed term - Potential to turn into a permanent opportunity.

We sell across multiple ecommerce marketplaces alongside our own successful retail website, making data-driven merchandising central to our continued growth.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation of product selection meetings and sample amendments.
Assisting with the critical path, monitoring all orders from initial product development through to delivery, ensuring the smooth running of the development process, maintaining delivery schedules and key deadlines throughout.
Assist in negotiating pricing and delivery terms with suppliers where appropriate.
Monitor supplier performance and report any issues to the Purchasing Manager.
Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures.
Assist with creating and updating packaging artworks & approving artwork submissions.
Creating products on our internal stock management system and website platform.
Raising purchase orders using internal stock management system.
Overseeing the administration of the stock management systems through to delivery and website upload.
Managing sample selection and liaising with internal departments for product marketing and photography requirements.
Liaising with QA to monitor inspections and update purchase orders and internal systems accordingly.
Assisting with shipping and clearance documentation when required.
Liaising with warehouse team to ensure smooth booking and delivery of goods.
Sales and Purchase invoice processing- data inputting.
General ad-hoc admin duties for the department.

Skills and Experiences:

Highly organised and outstanding attention to detail
Minimum of 1 years’ experience working within a purchasing/buying department is desirable.
A university degree is desirable in purchasing or in a related field such as business administration, procurement, buying, merchandising.
Strong administrative, communication and computer skills.
The ability to work independently.
Ability to question and make observations.
Ability to build rapport and relationship with suppliers and colleagues.
Understanding and reacting to changes in demand, supply and logistics.
Critical path workflow skills and management are vital.
Providing accurate information to other departments in a timely manner.
Committed to seasonal overtime when needed.
