Coxbench Hall is currently recruiting for a Care Assistant to join our care team. As a Care Assistant, you will be required to work as part of a team to assist our Residents with their personal care and day to day tasks. Training and development of our staff is a high priority at Coxbench Hall and you will be given as much training as needed along with a comprehensive induction programme. In addition, we are always happy to offer and explore opportunities for you to acquire new skills and qualifications. For example, we are currently supporting a number of staff are currently working towards NVQs at several levels in Health and Social Care.

We are working towards a Veteran Friendly Framework status and welcome any Veterans to apply.

Our home is also on the Gold Standard Framework Training to become accredited in 2026.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Observe, monitor and record care interactions with Residents on our user-friendly electronic care system.
Assist in the safe movement of Residents.
Assist residents with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, toileting.
Previous Care Experience is desirable but not essential.
Must have a passion and enthusiasm for caring.
Must be able to work well within a team but also on a solo basis.
Be able to follow Company policies and procedures.
In date training is desirable, although training will be given.
It would also be an advantage to hold a Health and Social Care Diploma or NVQ
A level of flexibility to be able to cover shifts and work weekends
Due to our location, having your own transport would be highly advantageous although buses do pass the home, these do not run late into the evening and are limited on Sundays and bank holidays
Clean background check. If you do not already have one you will be supported to apply for one through our partners with the cost reimbursed after 3 months employment.

Salary and hours

Early shift: 6:40am - 2pm, Late shift: 1:55pm - 9:15pm or E1 (6:40am - 10am) L2 (6pm - 9:15pm)
£14.24 OTE per hour, includes an attendance bonus of 45p an hour for attending all of your shifts in a week
If you have an NVQ or Diploma you receive 50p per hour extra to your basic wage rate.
We believe you should be rewarded well when you work well, so in addition to paying above the Living Wage and part of the Workplace Pension Scheme, we also offer our own bonuses.
