Overview

Join our team as a Passenger Assistant and become a vital part of providing safe, reliable, and friendly transportation services. In this energetic role, you will support passengers, ensuring their journey is comfortable and secure. Your positive attitude and proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment for all travelers, especially those who may need extra assistance. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the community while developing valuable skills in customer service and transportation operations.

Responsibilities

Assist passengers boarding and alighting from vehicles, ensuring safety and comfort at all times
Provide support to passengers with mobility challenges, including helping with wheelchairs or walking aids
Ensure passenger safety by monitoring behavior and maintaining order during transit
Communicate clearly with passengers about routes, stops, and safety procedures
Conduct routine checks on vehicles to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of safety equipment
Report any incidents or concerns promptly to the appropriate authorities or supervisors
Support the driver with operational tasks when necessary, such as door operations or passenger counts

Qualifications

Strong communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
Ability to assist individuals with diverse needs confidently and compassionately
Physical ability to assist passengers, including lifting or supporting mobility aids if required
Reliable and punctual with excellent time management skills
Previous experience in customer service or caring roles is advantageous but not mandatory
Knowledge of safety procedures related to passenger transportation is a plus
