Company Overview

Veritek Global is a leading provider of field engineering services, partnering with OEMs to enhance their after-sales support capabilities. Our team of skilled field engineers ensures machinery and equipment are maintained and repaired efficiently, helping clients deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Digital Press Field Service Engineer to join our team, predominately based working from a home location, ideally located between Southampton and Exeter, to cover a customer base across the Southwest area of the UK. This role is vital in supporting our clients by maintaining and repairing digital press machinery on-site, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Core working hours are 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday with a 60-minute lunch break.

Responsibilities

Follow up on remote diagnostics and resolve technical issues promptly to maximise system availability and customer productivity.
Install, configure, maintain, and repair digital printing press systems and associated equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults, identifying effective solutions quickly and efficiently.
Deliver a professional, customer-focused service while maintaining high standards of technical support.
Work closely with Area Managers and colleagues to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
Complete service reports, documentation, and call closure procedures accurately and within required timescales.
Participate in product and technical training programmes to maintain and develop technical expertise.
Provide support across other UK regions when required, demonstrating flexibility to meet business and customer needs.
Adhere to all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe working practices.
Maintain professional driving standards and comply with all company vehicle policies.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Intermediate or higher vocational qualification in a technical discipline, with a strong foundation in both mechanical and electronic engineering.
Minimum of three years' experience in a field service engineering role, ideally supporting high-end or complex electro-mechanical equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills, including diagnosis to the electronic component level.
Good knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, including 3-phase power, and the ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams.
Understanding of colour theory and its practical application.
Customer-focused with a genuine passion for engineering and delivering high-quality service.
Proactive, results-oriented problem solver who responds effectively in fast-paced environments.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues at all levels.
Collaborative team player with a flexible approach and the ability to thrive in a varied working environment.
Willingness to travel as required and hold a valid driving licence.
Must hold a current valid passport or be able to obtain one immediately.
