Full job description

Overview

Image Painting Contractors are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper/Office administrator to work closely with the management team in our new offices based in Milton, Weston-Super-Mare.

This is a varied role and an exciting opportunity to work within a flexible and friendly environment. This role combines financial management with administrative support, ensuring smooth daily operations and accurate financial record-keeping. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, precision, and a passion for organisation to help our business thrive. You will be responsible for maintaining financial records, managing accounts payable, and supporting various office functions to foster an efficient work environment.

Duties

Process and manage the companies accounts using QuickBooks, experience of CIS and VAT (including reverse charge VAT) essential.
Payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
Provide daily administrative support to the management team
Day to day management of company schedules and requirements including company fleet vehicles and staff training
Ownership of managing and updating company policies and maintaining the business accreditations.
Managing and updating the company website and social media accounts.
Knowledge of Health & Safety advantageous.

Qualifications

Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks is essential.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general bookkeeping principles
Knowledge of Microsoft software.
Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail
Ability to multitask efficiently with a positive and confident approach to working in a varied role
Strong communication skills and the ability to react positively to new situations as they arise and inform the team
Previous office administrative experience of 2 years
AAT Level 3 or equivalent

This is a full-time position of 39 hours per week, although the company will consider creating 2 separate part-time roles (Office Administrator 16-24 hrs and Bookkeeper 16 hours) to suitable candidates.

Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour
