Full job description

Job Title: Procurement Manager

Pay: From £40,000 per year

Job description:

This is a hands-on role at the heart of our operations. You'll be the key point of contact for our supplier network, responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing costs across our infrastructure. You'll work closely with our technical and sales teams to plan ahead, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure we're never caught out by rising costs or supply chain issues.

What You'll Be Doing

Building and maintaining strong relationships with hardware vendors, software licensors, and service providers.
Sourcing and purchasing hardware and software licences at competitive prices.
Tracking and forecasting hardware and software licensing spend across the business, identifying opportunities to reduce costs.
Managing supplier performance, resolving issues, and conducting regular supplier reviews.
Working with engineering and sales teams to understand upcoming infrastructure requirements and plan procurement accordingly.
Managing software licence renewals and usage to avoid unnecessary spend and ensure compliance.
Researching the market for new suppliers, technologies, and cost-saving opportunities.
Maintaining accurate procurement records, pricing, and reporting within Hyve's CRM.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in a procurement, supplier management, or vendor management role, ideally within IT, hosting, telecommunications, or a related technical industry.
A solid understanding of hardware procurement and software licensing models.
Excellent relationship-building skills, with the confidence to negotiate and manage suppliers at all levels.
Highly organised, with strong attention to detail when managing budgets, contracts, and expenditure.
Comfortable working cross-functionally with technical, sales, finance, and senior management teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high standard of written and spoken English.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality and service.
