Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Night Porter to provide exceptional guest services and ensure the safety and security of our premises during overnight hours. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanour, and experience in hospitality or hotel environments. This role offers an opportunity to work in a welcoming setting, supporting guests and maintaining the smooth operation of our establishment through the night. Casa Brighouse has 23 bedrooms, a wine bar, a large restaurant and terraces and 2 large event venues.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures, ensuring a warm and professional first impression
Respond promptly to guest enquiries via phone or in person, providing accurate information and assistance
Maintain security protocols by monitoring CCTV, patrolling the premises, and reporting any suspicious activity
Handle guest requests efficiently, including organising wake-up calls or additional services as required
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and presentable throughout your shift
Assist with administrative tasks such as logging incidents or maintaining security logs
Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of guest satisfaction and safety during overnight hours

Requirements

Previous experience in hotel reception, guest services, or hospitality is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly advantageous for communicating with diverse guests
Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to handle guest interactions professionally
Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining vigilance and professionalism
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and security procedures
Flexibility to work part-time hours during night shifts, including weekends if required
A friendly attitude combined with discretion and confidentiality in handling guest information

Pay: £13.21 per hour
