Job Summary

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Porter, where your energy and dedication will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation and overall operations. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests. Duties

Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs, including washing, peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients
Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, work surfaces, utensils, and equipment to meet health and safety standards
Support the storage of food supplies by organizing stock and rotating inventory appropriately
Ensure all dishes, cookware, and utensils are properly cleaned and stored after use
Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures to promote an eco-friendly kitchen environment
Assist in setting up workstations for meal service and clearing after busy periods
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents or contamination in the kitchen

Skills

Experience or familiarity with food preparation and cooking processes in a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene standards and safety protocols
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant environment is highly desirable
Good teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers
Basic knowledge of culinary practices and serving procedures is advantageous
