Architectural Assistant - Part II

Leeds

Up to £33,199 (Dependent on experience)

NPS Leeds represents the highly successful joint venture between Norse Group and Leeds City Council, promoting sustainability and innovation across a range of property services.

The Architectural Assistant Part II will be responsible for supporting the design team in the delivery of projects by undertaking a range of Architectural duties and ensure the effective and timely delivery.

We combine commercial expertise with a strong public sector purpose, helping clients create safer, healthier and more sustainable environments for the communities they serve.

Our architects enjoy exposure to an exceptionally diverse project portfolio. Current work includes delivering Football Foundation hubs across the country, particularly in Manchester and London, alongside a wide range of projects for Leeds City Council's extensive asset portfolio, including housing, schools, heritage buildings, transport infrastructure and commercial developments. We also work closely with Tier 1 contractors across Design and Build projects, providing opportunities to develop experience across multiple sectors and procurement routes.

Main Responsibilities:

Assist colleagues in the preparation of drawings and specifications and in undertaking surveys and preparing records of existing buildings and sites.
Carry out administrative tasks relevant to the production of architectural information such as reprographics, issue of drawings, filing.
Carry out allocated tasks competently and professionally within determined timescales, financial budgets and fee/cost targets.
Prepare clear and accurate design documentation.
Adhere to agreed Practice procedures, technical standards and Standing Orders.
Liaise in a clear, positive and effective manner with colleagues and clients.
Maintain client relationships to develop the client base.
Deal with client queries and resolve resolutions.
Fee earning at 90%, and contribute to the achievement of business plan objectives and targets.
This role requires occasional travel to other offices and sites as required.
Carry out duties appropriate to the grade of the post.
Promote continuous improvement and deliver demonstrable high quality products and services which embrace quality standards.
Demonstrate personal commitment to the Norse Way CSR strategy.

Candidate Requirements:

Experience in a similar or related role
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, graphics software and Revit.
Familiar with relevant construction, health and safety legislation and risks and hazards associated with asbestos
Completion of RIBA part 1 and part 2, and working towards part 3
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in an Architectural related discipline
Holds a current site card or is prepared to immediately attain
