Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical Bias)

Salary: From £36,000 per year
Location: Moira, Leicestershire

Reabrook Ltd is an Employee Ownership Trust business located in the heart of the National Forest in Moira. With over 50 years of manufacturing expertise in aerosol and liquid chemical products, we continue to grow by investing in our people, technology, and facilities.

We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer with either an electrical or mechanical bias to join our Maintenance Team.

Importantly, we are open to candidates who may not have decades of time-served experience but have the right attitude, core qualifications, and a strong willingness to learn. We are committed to investing in training and development to help you grow your career with us.

The Role

You will play a key role in ensuring the site runs efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all legal and quality standards. You’ll provide hands-on maintenance support across production and site facilities, helping to minimise downtime and improve reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and repair production and ancillary equipment
Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
Diagnose faults and conduct root cause analysis to prevent repeat failures
Work with pneumatic systems and interpret electrical/pneumatic schematics
Support continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure all work complies with site quality and health & safety standards
Act as host for contractors on site
Participate in a paid, rotational out-of-hours emergency call-out system

About You

We welcome applications from engineers with either electrical or mechanical bias. Multi-skilled experience is desirable, but we are happy to develop the right individual.

You should be able to demonstrate:

Experience in a factory, manufacturing, or FMCG environment (preferred)
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Experience with PPM systems (preferred)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
Good communication and teamwork skills
A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to develop

Qualifications

Minimum: City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (desirable)
Multi-skilled qualification desirable but not essential
Experience in highly regulated industries advantageous (chemical/aerosol experience beneficial but not essential)

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
Friday: 6:00am – 12:00pm
Day shift

Overtime and occasional weekend work available.
Paid out-of-hours call-out rota.
