Overview

Join our dynamic finance team as a Bookkeeper - Assistant Accountant, where your energy and attention to detail will drive the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. In this vital role, you will support the accounting department by managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, ensuring precise record-keeping, and assisting with financial reporting. Your proactive approach will help maintain smooth financial processes and contribute to the overall health of our organization’s accounting functions. Responsibilities

Manage accounts payable processes by verifying invoices, processing payments, and maintaining vendor records using Sage and bespoke software (LabelTraxx and Cerm)
Assist in recording daily financial transactions accurately and promptly within various accounting platforms
Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts to ensure consistency and correctness of financial data
Support month-end closing activities by preparing reports, journal entries, and supporting documentation
Maintain organized records of financial documents, receipts, and invoices for audit readiness
Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payment processing
Contribute to ongoing improvements in bookkeeping procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Experience

Prior experience working with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is highly preferred
Familiarity with managing accounts payable processes and invoice reconciliation
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial documentation practices
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
Previous experience in bookkeeping or assistant accounting roles is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential
