Customer Experience & Retentions Advisor

Whiteley, near Solent Hotel | Up to £28,000 basic + bonus (OTE up to £31,000) | Mon–Fri, 8:30am–5pm — no evenings, weekends, bank holidays, ever!

WeBuyAnyPhone.com is the UK's largest independent tech recycling business — we buy, refurbish and recycle mobile phones, tablets and wearable tech. We're growing fast, and we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys talking to people and can hold their own when a conversation gets a bit tense.

Here's the thing — you don't need call centre experience to be brilliant at this job.

If you've spent your working life talking to customers — face to face or on the phone — in a role that's fast-paced, unpredictable, and puts you in front of real people with real problems, you already have what it takes. We can teach you our systems and our process. What we can't teach is how to stay calm, warm and persuasive when someone's not happy, and turn that conversation around.

What you'll actually be doing

Speaking with customers all day, every day — by phone, email and live chat
Explaining how our pricing and grading process works, clearly and honestly
Handling pushback and objections with confidence, and turning "I want to cancel" into "okay, that makes sense"
Balancing what's right for the customer with what's right for the business
Keeping accurate notes and working closely with the wider team
Hitting targets around customer experience and retention

You'll thrive here if you...

Love talking to people and can build rapport fast, even with strangers
Have experience dealing with customers face to face or over the phone, in a busy, fast-paced environment
Can think on your feet and stay calm when someone's frustrated
Are naturally persuasive without being pushy
Are used to handling a high volume of conversations back-to-back
Want a role with structure and clear targets, not chaos
Are looking to build a career in customer experience, not just clock in and out

Bonus points (not essential) for...

Previous contact centre, retention, or account management experience
A background in e-commerce, telecoms, or consumer electronics
Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce

This is a full-time, office-based role in Fareham (PO15 7FT). A DBS check is required.
