Full job description

Creative Play have been established for more than 30 years, and in that time, we have provided playgrounds for more than 14,000 customers. We pride ourselves on our stability, constantly offering our clients reliable service and clear communication. Our trusted reputation is evidenced by our growing list of happy clients across the UK.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking to appoint a labourer and Playground Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will work alongside our team in installing and maintaining playground equipment across the country from Monday - Friday.

The job holder will do all tasks within his/her level of skill and ability. This will include travelling around the country, staying out 3-4 nights per week every week ensuring all installations are completed within set time scales. You will be communicating with customers and the office throughout the installation. You will need to organise the site to ensure it is efficient and safe for staff and children. As you will be working in close proximity to children a valid DBS check is essential.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Organise the site ensuring it is safe for yourself and the customer
Work to strict deadlines to ensure jobs are completed as planned
Liaise with customers to arrange ETAs and site access information
Use of a variety of power tools
Ensure the highest levels of customer service are provided at all times, maximising the customer experience
Loading & unloading of company vehicle at the beginning & end of each week
Undertake work related training courses as required
Staying away 4 nights per week – accommodation is booked for you, and you will receive subsistence payments

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic individual who operates well on their own as well as being an integral part of a team. Presentable, positive, and outgoing in character, you will need to have the following skills, qualities and experience:

Experience in using power tools - minimum 1 year (E)
Ability to work on your own (E)
Confident communication skills (E)
Ability to prioritise workload with strong organisational skills(E)
Attention to detail & accuracy (E)
Excellent communication skills (E)
A full UK driving license (E)
A DBS certificate (or willing to undergo checks) (E)
Ability to problem solve & use initiative (E)
Professional manner (E)
Capable of working well under pressure & meeting deadlines (E)

Bonus Skills (Desirable)

Experience installing outdoor play equipment (D)
Experience in a role that includes travelling to various sites (D)
Experience of Construction/Groundworks (D)
Valid CSCS (D)

The Rewards

Competitive Pay: Start at £27,097.72
Fully Supported Travel: We book all your accommodation for the 4 nights away and provide daily subsistence payments.
Generous Leave: 31 days total (20 days annual + 8 bank holidays + Entitlement increases with service after 2 years to max 33 days)
