Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Telehandler Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate a telescopic handler—commonly known as a telehandler—to efficiently move, lift, and position materials across various job sites. Your expertise will ensure safe, precise handling of heavy loads, supporting the overall progress of construction projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale developments while honing your mechanical and operational skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

Safely operate the telehandler to lift, move, and place materials at designated locations on the construction site
Conduct daily inspections of the telehandler to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs
Coordinate with site supervisors and other team members to understand material handling priorities and schedules
Load and unload materials from trucks or storage areas using the telehandler with precision and care
Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, inspections, and material movements for safety compliance
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries on-site
Assist with basic mechanical troubleshooting when necessary to keep equipment operational

Requirements

Proven experience operating a telehandler or similar heavy machinery in a construction or industrial setting
Valid commercial driver’s license with relevant endorsements for operating heavy equipment
Strong mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance checks and minor repairs
Familiarity with excavators and other construction machinery is a plus
Ability to read and interpret safety instructions, load charts, and site plans effectively
Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with team members and supervisors
Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to all safety standards and regulations
