Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Housing Disrepair Litigation Executive to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will manage and progress housing disrepair claims, ensuring clients receive effective legal support and resolution. Your expertise will drive successful negotiations, coordinate case strategies, and deliver exceptional service to clients facing housing issues. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping tenants secure their rights and achieve fair outcomes through skilled litigation management.

Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of housing disrepair claims from initial assessment through to resolution, ensuring timely progression of each case
Conduct thorough investigations into housing disrepair issues, including reviewing property reports, liaising with surveyors, and gathering evidence
Negotiate effectively with landlords, insurers, and other parties to reach favorable settlement agreements or alternative resolutions
Prepare and draft legal documents such as claim notices, correspondence, pleadings, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity
Advise clients on their rights, options, and potential outcomes throughout the litigation process
Collaborate with external experts such as surveyors or contractors to support case development
Maintain detailed case records and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements and deadlines

Skills

Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure advantageous settlements for clients
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly articulate case strategies and legal advice
Demonstrated experience managing housing disrepair or similar litigation cases
Ability to analyze complex information quickly and develop effective legal solutions
Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software
High level of organization with meticulous attention to detail
A proactive approach to case progression and client service
