Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Cafe Assistant/Cook to join our vibrant team! In this role, you will play a key part in delivering exceptional food and service experiences to our customers. Your enthusiasm for food preparation, culinary skills, and commitment to food safety will help create a welcoming environment where guests feel valued and satisfied. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your kitchen experience while contributing to a lively, fast-paced cafe setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble a variety of menu items with precision and care, ensuring quality standards are met consistently
Cook meals according to established recipes and presentation guidelines, maintaining efficiency during busy periods
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Serve customers promptly and courteously, providing excellent customer service that enhances their experience
Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels, rotating supplies, and notifying management of shortages or expired items
Support the team in setting up dining areas, clearing tables, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests
Follow all safety procedures during food handling, cooking, and cleaning processes to prevent accidents or contamination

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations within a restaurant or cafe environment
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication skills for serving customers and collaborating with team members
Basic culinary skills with familiarity in meal preparation techniques
Prior experience with food handling equipment and kitchen tools is preferred
A positive attitude, reliability, and eagerness to learn new skills in a team-oriented environment
