About Empire Facade Group

Empire Facade Group is an architectural aluminium fabricator and installer based in Romford. We fabricate & install Curtain walling, shopfronts, structural glazing and commercial windows

We operate across London, Essex, Kent, and nationwide.

We have the fabrication capability, the systems knowledge, and the operational foundation in place. We are now building our commercial team and looking for the right person to become a core part of something bigger. This is a genuine opportunity to join at a pivotal stage and grow with the business.

The Role

We are hiring a strategic partnership manager / Business Development Manager to take full ownership of our commercial pipeline. You will identify, pursue, and convert new contracts across curtainwalling, structural glazing, windows & doors and commercial facade packages — targeting main contractors, developers, architects, and QS teams across the UK.

This role can be performed remotely at initial stage 3-6 months and afterwards in person. Hybrid working with 2-3 office days can be possible after remote working period. Travel to client meetings, site, and our fabrication facility as usual.

Key Responsibilities

Keep everything in the CRM. Properly.

Identify and develop new business opportunities across curtainwalling, commercial glazing, and facade packages
Get Empire onto the supply chains of Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 main contractors and fit-out contractors
Build and work relationships with the people who actually issue enquiries — procurement, estimating, commercial and pre-construction
Qualify opportunities properly before they hit estimating — capacity, margin, contract riskFollow up every tender after the return date and find out exactly why we won or lost
Generate a consistent flow of qualified enquiries for curtain walling, shopfront and glazing packages
Leverage your existing network and build new relationships with main contractors, developers, and design teams
Feed back what the market is telling you: competitor pricing, contractor workload, where we're competitive and wherewe shouldn't be bidding
Register and maintain Empire Facade Group’s presence on main contractor supply chain portals and commercial construction companies (Mace, Wates, Kier, Morgan Sindall, ISG, etc.)
Maintain CRM records and report pipeline status to the director weekly
Represent the business professionally and help position Empire Facade Group as a leading facade subcontractor

Essential Requirements

Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in business development, or a commercial role within curtainwalling, structural glazing, or the wider facade/fenestration sector
Most important- An established, active network of contacts within main contractors, developers, or design teams — relationships you can activate from day one
Solid understanding of aluminium curtainwall systems, stick vs unitised construction, and commercial glazing specifications
Proven track record of winning and growing accounts in a subcontractor or fabrication environment
Comfortable working remotely and managing your own time and pipeline
Experience navigating main contractor procurement processes and tender submissions
Familiarity with Barbour ABI, Glenigan, or similar platforms is an advantage

Package

Base salary: £60,000 per annum
Commission: Performance-based, uncapped — details discussed at interview
Location: Remote with travel as required
Reporting to: Director
Start: ASAP / to be agreed
