About the role
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated IT Systems Developer to join our growing tech team at Reassured.
You’ll be working on our internal CRM systems, building new functionality and evolving existing features to support a fast-moving, high-growth business.
As part of a collaborative Scrum team, you’ll contribute to planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives while delivering clean, scalable software that has real impact across the organisation.
What you’ll be doing
- Developing and maintaining internal CRM and backend systems
- Delivering features end to end, from design through to deployment
- Enhancing and modernising existing applications, including legacy systems
- Collaborating with developers, QA, BA and DevOps to meet business needs
- Writing clean, maintainable and well-structured code
- Supporting testing, CI/CD pipelines and code reviews
- Identifying improvements and helping to reduce technical debt
- Troubleshooting and resolving software issues
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years’ experience in PHP development
- Experience with PHP 7.4 (CakePHP) and PHP 8+ (Laravel or Symfony)
- Experience building and maintaining backend systems and APIs
- Strong understanding of MySQL, including queries, indexing and performance
- Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5 and CSS
- Experience using Git, including GitLab workflows, branching and pull requests
- Familiarity with Docker in WSL or Linux environments
- Experience with unit testing and automated testing approaches
Nice to have
- Vue.js or Nuxt and modern frontend tooling
- Tailwind or other modern CSS frameworks
- Azure Cloud services
- MongoDB or Azure Cosmos DB
- CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab pipelines
- Messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus
- Microservices or event-driven architectures
