Skilled Carpenter & Joiner
Cardington Joiners Ltd is a growing specialist joinery company based in Bedfordshire, producing and installing high-quality bespoke joinery for heritage, conservation, residential, and commercial projects.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Carpenter & Joiner to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their workmanship and wants to be involved in a variety of interesting projects, from traditional timber windows and doors to bespoke staircases and high-end joinery installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture bespoke joinery items within our workshop.
- Fit and install joinery products on-site when required.
- Work from technical drawings and specifications.
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and to client expectations.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Carpenter and/or Joiner.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of traditional and modern joinery techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Reliable, hardworking, and professional attitude.
Desirable
- Experience working on listed buildings and heritage projects.
- Site carpentry and installation experience 1st & 2nd fix.
- Relevant NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification.
- Experience with timber windows, doors & staircases.
