Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and organised Office Assistant to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and strong administrative skills to contribute to the smooth operation of our office environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily administrative tasks, ensuring efficient communication, and maintaining organised records. Prior office experience and proficiency with computer applications are highly desirable.

Duties

Answering and directing phone calls with professional etiquette
Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and postal mail
Data entry and maintaining accurate records using Microsoft Office
Assisting with scheduling appointments and organising meetings
Supporting sales and purchase ledgers
Filing, photocopying, scanning, and general administrative support
Assisting in preparing reports, presentations, and other documentation as required
Ensuring the organisation of office supplies and equipment maintenance
Providing excellent customer service to visitors and clients

Skills

Proven office experience or administrative background
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with accounting software is advantageous
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Strong typing skills with attention to accuracy and speed
Good phone etiquette and communication skills
Data entry experience with a high level of attention to detail
Familiarity with clerical procedures and office management systems
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
