Pestell's Gas Care Ltd is looking for an additional member to our engineering team, to add skills and assist in meeting our growing customer base. We are seeking a skilled Heating and Plumbing Engineer to join our team. Gas experience and Plumbing experience are required, Oil and LPG experience is preferred but full training and qualifications can be provided if required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating and plumbing systems residential properties. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong engineering background and practical skills in plumbing and heating. The position involves working both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality service in a timely manner.
The successful candidate must demonstrate a passion for safety, safe working, attention to detail, a desire to improve their skills and a passion to provide an excellent customer experience.
Duties
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining heating systems, including boilers, radiators, and pipework.
- Conducting plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, replacing pipes, and installing fixtures.
- Using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and other specialised tools to complete tasks efficiently.
- Performing routine inspections to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
- Troubleshooting mechanical issues with heating and plumbing systems using technical knowledge.
- Assembling components and systems according to specifications.
- Assisting with the design and installation of customised heating and plumbing solutions for clients.
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Heavy lifting of equipment or materials as required during installations or repairs.
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed for client documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in plumbing, heating system installation, or maintenance.
- Proficiency in soldering and use of hand tools and power tools.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during installations or repairs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Valid full UK driving licence is required.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills to liaise with clients and team members professionally.
- Flexibility to work across various locations as required by project demands.
- To be flexible and available to help meet customer demand with overtime and a call out rota.

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
