We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to the loading and unloading of goods, as well as maintaining inventory accuracy. This position requires physical stamina and a keen eye for detail to uphold our standards of quality control.

Responsibilities

Load and unload goods from lorries and containers efficiently.
Perform picking and packing of orders accurately to ensure timely dispatch.
Assist in shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders.
Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
Conduct heavy lifting tasks, adhering to safety protocols to prevent injuries.
Maintain accurate records using the warehouse management system for tracking inventory levels.
Perform quality control checks on products to ensure they meet company standards before shipment.
Keep the warehouse clean and organised, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.

Requirements

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
Proficiency in load unloading, picking packing, and shipping receiving processes.
Familiarity with materials handling techniques and safety regulations.
Ability to operate forklifts; certification is advantageous but can be provided if necessary.
Strong physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly throughout the shift.
Basic mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.
Attention to detail with a focus on quality control measures in all tasks performed.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
