We’re looking for a warm, experienced and engaging carer to join a dedicated team supporting one of our incredible service users to live life to the fullest. Care experience is essential, with autism experience highly desirable, and live-in experience a bonus.

Our service user is full of life, with a love for dancing, music, the arts, travelling, rollercoasters, and disability advocacy, she thrives on staying active and involved, so we’re looking for someone who can bring positive energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for person-centred care. Communication is key in this role, she uses BLS and relies on her team to be patient, attentive, and skilled in picking up on lip reading and non-verbal cues, so being a confident and compassionate communicator is a must.

You’ll be supporting her in a home environment that also includes a friendly therapy dog, so being comfortable around animals is important. This is a truly rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to build a meaningful connection, make a real difference, and be part of a vibrant, supportive care journey.

Our live-in pay rate is £900 per week, plus a £40 weekly food allowance. In addition, this role includes 21 extra paid hours per week at £14 per hour, on top of the base salary.

Responsibilities:

Support patients with their physical care needs, including hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and comfort.
Deliver person-centered care according to individual bespoke care plans.
Promote independence and respect each patient’s spiritual, psychological, and cultural needs.
Maintain accurate care records.
Assist with communication between patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
Administer prescribed medication or clinical tasks after completing our advanced training and competency sign off.
Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the Regional Nurse Manager.
Contribute to a supportive, high-standard care environment.

Essential Skills and Qualities for this role:

Please note that whilst experience in these areas are desirable, we will provide service user specific training.

Moving and Handling
Catheter
Enteral tube
British Sign Language (preferable)
Learning Disability and Autism (preferable)Experience is not essential for this position.
Proof of your right to live and work in the UK.
