Full job description

Rutland Pumps Ltd manufactures specialist cleaning equipment. We are looking for an experienced CNC machinist to programme, set and operate our Haas ST-10Y CNC Lathe and Haas Super Mini Mill on a part-time basis. Though for the right candidate full time is a possibility.

This role would suit someone who enjoys a varied workload, from one-off prototypes and product development through to small and medium production runs.

Responsibilities

Programme, set and operate Haas CNC lathes and milling machines.
Create and optimise CNC programmes using Fusion 360 CAM.
Manufacture components from engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.
Produce prototype and production components to tight tolerances.
Select tooling, workholding and machining strategies.
Inspect completed parts using precision measuring equipment.
Assist with process improvements and cycle time reduction.
Carry out routine machine maintenance.

Essential Requirements

Previous CNC turning and milling experience.
Ability to programme CNC machines independently.
Experience using Fusion 360 or similar CAM software.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Good understanding of tooling, speeds, feeds and machining strategies.
Experience with precision measuring equipment.
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.

Desirable Skills

Haas machine experience.
Live tooling and Y-axis turning experience.
Fusion 360 CAD experience.
Experience machining stainless steel, aluminium and engineering plastics.
Experience with product development and prototyping.

Hours & Pay

Part-time role.
Flexible working hours - not shift based.
Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
Additional hours available as workload increases.
