Full job description

Location: The Orchard Surgery, Langley, Slough

Position: Call Handler/Receptionist

Hours: Part-time / Full-time (37.5 hours per week, with additional hours to cover holidays, etc.)

Salary: £12.71/hour

We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic, dedicated, organised, and efficient individuals to join our team as a Call handler/receptionist at The Orchard Surgery in Langley, Slough. Our practice is committed to delivering high-quality care to our patients in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Answer and manage incoming patient calls efficiently and professionally.
Schedule and manage patient appointments.
Greet patients warmly and provide excellent customer service.
Handle patient inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with administrative tasks.
Support clinical staff with daily operations as needed.
Provide effective and confidential reception duties, including answering telephone calls
Use of clinical IT system to manage patient records and appointments
Book appointments for patients
Meet and greet all patients and visitors in a polite, calm, and approachable manner

Requirements:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
Basic IT skills and familiarity with patient management systems preferred.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Previous experience in GP reception work is not required, as full support and training will be provided to the right candidate

Pay: £12.71 per hour
