Assistant Site Manager
Wynne Construction is seeking a motivated and reliable Assistant Site Manager to join our construction team, predominantly working across sites in North West Wales. The Role – Assistant Site Manager
As Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Project Manager and Site Manager with the day-to-day management of site operations, helping to ensure projects are delivered successfully while maintaining high standards of quality, health and safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
· Assisting with the day-to-day management of site activities to support successful project delivery
· Supervising site teams, operatives, and subcontractors, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements
· Supporting the planning, coordination, and monitoring of construction activities against project schedules
· Ordering materials, checking deliveries, and managing the effective storage and distribution of resources on site
· Ensuring construction sites, compounds, and welfare facilities are maintained in a clean, safe, and organised condition
· Monitoring workmanship and finishes to ensure compliance with project specifications, building regulations, and company quality standards
· Supporting compliance with Health and Safety legislation, CDM regulations, and company procedures
· Completing and maintaining HSEQ documentation and records as required
· Supporting quality and environmental standards in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
· Liaising with clients, design teams, neighbours, and other stakeholders to maintain positive working relationships
· Assisting the Site Manager and wider project team in achieving project objectives relating to programme, quality, and cost control

What We’re Looking For
· Previous experience assisting Site Managers on construction projects
· Experience working within live construction environments
· Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations, CDM and current building regulations
· IT proficiency, with working knowledge of online construction management systems
· Full UK driving licence
While not essential, the following are desirable:
· Degree, HNC, or NVQ Level 4 in Construction, or currently working towards a relevant qualification
· SMSTS qualification
· First Aid at Work certification
· Fire Marshal qualification
· Appropriate valid CSCS Card
