Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and friendly Hotel Night Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional guest services during overnight hours, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all visitors. This role requires excellent communication skills, a calm demeanour, and the ability to handle various guest needs efficiently. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist a diverse clientele.

Duties

Greet guests upon arrival and departure, ensuring a warm and professional welcome
Manage guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently
Handle phone enquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing information and assistance as required
Address guest requests, complaints, or concerns promptly and professionally
Maintain security protocols during night hours, including monitoring CCTV and conducting regular patrols of the premises
Keep the reception area tidy and organised throughout the shift
Process reservations, cancellations, and modifications using the hotel management system
Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared and facilities are in optimal condition
Record all relevant guest information accurately in accordance with hotel policies

Requirements

Previous experience in hotel reception or guest services is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills in English; multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to remain calm under pressure during busy periods or when handling guest concerns
Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required
Knowledge of hospitality standards and guest service best practices
Professional appearance and friendly demeanour
