Food Service Assistant
Brooklyn, Belfast, BT5 - Part time - Permanent

What you'll do:

Deliver excellent customer service, creating a friendly and welcoming environment.

Assist in preparing, presenting, and serving food to company standards, ensuring HACCP and food safety compliance.

Carry out cashier duties and promote additional sales where possible.

Keep counters, tables, condiments, and service areas clean, tidy, and well-stocked.

Undertake cleaning duties (equipment, floors, fixtures, crockery, glassware, etc.) following company standards.

Ensure proper storage of goods on a “first in, first out” basis while maintaining health & safety standards.

Monitor and record fridge, freezer, and hot-holding temperatures in line with regulations.

Support the wider team by attending training, following site security procedures, and assisting with ad-hoc tasks as required.
What you'll bring:

Previous experience in a catering, hospitality, or food service environment (preferred but not essential).

Strong customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and professional attitude.

Ability to work well in a compliance-driven environment (food hygiene, health & safety, COSHH).

High standards of personal hygiene and appearance, adhering to company uniform requirements.

Flexibility to adapt to varied tasks and support the team as needed.

Proactive approach to maintaining safety, cleanliness, and service standards.

Reliability and attention to detail when handling food, equipment, and customer interactions.
