Job Title: Control Room Operator / Security Controller

Reporting to: Control Room Manager

Location: In Person, Uxbridge UB8

Hours of work: 40 hours minimum, various shifts pattern, including days and nights

Job Overview

We are currently seeking a vigilant and well-organised Control Room Operator to support our security operations. Based in our control room, you will play a key role in monitoring security systems, coordinating incident responses, and ensuring the smooth running of daily operations across various client sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring email and responding to it.
Coordinating with security officers, emergency services, and management during incidents.
Maintaining accurate records, incident reports, and daily logs.
Operating and troubleshooting security systems, ensuring all equipment functions properly.
Responding to calls and enquiries professionally, directing security teams as needed.
Following company procedures and emergency protocols in case of security breaches, theft, or emergencies.
Conducting routine system checks and reporting any malfunctions or suspicious activity.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a security control room or similar environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of CCTV, alarm, and access control systems.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
Basic computer skills for logging reports and monitoring systems.
Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Security certification or relevant training is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in law enforcement, military, or corporate security.
First aid or emergency response training.
Familiarity with radio communication protocols.
