Full job description

We are looking for an experienced Sewing Machinist / Seamstress to join our production team manufacturing high-quality sportswear garments.

The role involves sewing a range of sports kit including rugby jerseys, lightweight performance t-shirts, shorts, hoodies, and training wear. This is detailed, technical work requiring excellent sewing ability and strong attention to finish and garment construction.

Key Responsibilities

Operating industrial sewing machines to produce sportswear garments
Sewing and assembling rugby jerseys, training tops, shorts, hoodies, and related apparel
Constructing collars and completing intricate garment detailing
Working with stretch and technical performance fabrics
Following production specifications and quality standards
Maintaining consistency, accuracy, and high-quality finishing throughout production

Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience in garment manufacturing or sportswear production
Confident operating industrial sewing machines including Jack and Brother machines
Experience sewing technical garments and working with performance fabrics
Ability to construct collars and complete detailed sewing work to a high standard
Strong attention to detail and garment quality
Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team

Preferred Experience

Experience with any of the following is advantageous:

Overlock machines
Coverstitch machines
Flatlock machines
Sportswear or teamwear manufacturing
