Full job description

This is a crucial role to manage the development and induction of all members of our care home group. We are a family-run company based in Leeds and Dewsbury, and are looking to expand more in the near future. We specialise in nursing care for those with complex mental health issues and care for people who are suffering from a range of disorders like schizophrenia or depression.

As Training Manager, you’ll lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of all learning and development activities for our home staff, from laundry staff to nurses. From mandatory training and Care Certificate programmes to experiential learning and induction, you’ll ensure our teams are supported, skilled and confident to deliver exceptional care.

This role is ideal for someone with a passion for learning and development, preferably in the care sector.

What You’ll Bring

Experience delivering learning and development programmes or mentoring of staff
Strong coaching, presentation, and interpersonal skills to inspire and support colleagues
Ability to plan, deliver, and review experiential learning activities and staff development initiatives
Good knowledge of CQC requirements and compliance frameworks
Strong organisational and IT skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

About the Role

You will be the go-to person for staff development within the home, ensuring all colleagues—from front-line care staff to management—are trained, confident, and supported. Your role combines delivering hands-on learning, coaching in practice, evaluating outcomes, and keeping accurate records of attendance and progress. You’ll collaborate closely with the Home Manager across the 3 homes to continuously improve training programmes, compliance, and ultimately, the quality of care delivered.

Pay: £40,000.00 per year
