Working closely with senior leaders across operational, corporate, and digital functions, you will champion a data-led culture where insight drives action and evidence informs strategy.
As Head of Performance & business intelligence, you will be responsible for establishing and leading a modern, innovative performance and analytics function that provides high quality intelligence across the organisation.
You will oversee the development of performance frameworks, dashboards, reporting systems, and analytical capabilities that enable leaders to make informed decisions with confidence. You will help ensure that organisational performance is transparent, measurable, and focused on delivering the best possible outcomes.
This is a highly influential role that combines strategic leadership, technical expertise, and stakeholder engagement. You will work with colleagues at all levels, translating complex data into meaningful insight and helping teams use information to improve services, efficiency, and impact.
- Leading the development and implementation of an organisation wide performance management framework.
- Driving a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and evidence-based decision making.
- Developing advanced analytics, predictive modelling, and business intelligence capabilities.
- Overseeing the design and delivery of dashboards, reports, and data visualisations that support operational and strategic priorities.
- Supporting senior leaders with insight that informs organisational strategy, planning, and growth.
- Ensuring robust data governance, quality assurance, and reporting processes.
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, commissioners, and system partners.
- Developing organisational capability in data, analytics, and performance management.
- Leading and inspiring a high-performing team focused on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
We are looking for someone who combines analytical expertise with strategic vision and strong leadership skills.
You may have gained your experience within health, social care, local government, the NHS, the charity sector, or another complex organisation where data and performance play a critical role in delivering outcomes.
- Significant experience leading performance, analytics, or business intelligence functions at a senior level.
- A strong track record of driving organisational improvement through data and insight.
- Experience developing performance frameworks, KPIs, benchmarking approaches, and reporting systems.
- Advanced knowledge of business intelligence and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or similar platforms.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and providing strategic advice based on complex information.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data into compelling and actionable insight.
- A collaborative leadership style and a passion for helping others use data effectively.
