Role Summary
Disclosure Officer roles within the NCA are defined by the Criminal Procedure and Investigation Act 1996. This is a unique opportunity to use your skills and experience to support high‑profile, serious and complex investigations that protect the public and disrupt serious organised crime.
The NCA has a number of dedicated Disclosure Officers working across the country as integral members of skilled investigation teams, playing a vital role in ensuring disclosure obligations are met fairly, lawfully and to a high standard.

Role Description
The NCA currently recruits dedicated Disclosure Officers for the following teams:
Complex Financial Crime Team (CFCT) which proactively target high end money laundering, International Money Controllers and Fraud. These teams are at the forefront of identifying criminal laundering of crime cash-disrupting and prosecuting offenders whilst stripping them of assets.
Hardened Secure Communications (HSC); HSC refers to encrypted devices and platforms used by individuals involved in serious and organised crime. HSC is a cross-cutting enabling threat, primarily used by those involved in commodities and prosperity crime - drugs, firearms, money laundering, fraud, insider threat and serious organised crime-related violence (debt enforcement/threats to harm/kill and intimidation).
The NCA HSC team is a diverse group of intelligence, investigations and technical officers working in an innovative and collaborative way. As the UK law enforcement lead for HSC, the NCA HSC team works with domestic (UK) and international partners.
Operation BEACONPORT. For many years the existence of Group-Based Child Sexual Exploitation (GBCSE) has been known. Despite good practice that has been developed and implemented and successful operational activity, Baroness Casey’s National Audit published in June 2025 highlighted serious failure across multiple sectors to recognise and respond to GBCSE.
Those failures have resulted in missed opportunities to hold perpetrators to account and have left victims and survivors without the protection and support they should have received.
Delivery of the national police operation, formally tasked as Operation BEACONPORT, will be overseen by the NCA and led by an NCA Director. The overarching aim of the Operation is to restore public trust and confidence in law enforcement’s ability to investigate allegations of child sexual exploitation through the delivery of tailored justice, sustained improvement, and public accountability.

Duties and Responsibilities

Production of disclosure schedules Production of accurate and comprehensive disclosure schedules as agreed with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).
Court attendance Give evidence in court in relation to disclosure matters.
Working together Working as part of a team, in challenging law enforcement or military or other equivalent operating environment and having delivered on the task.
Travel Officers may be required to travel throughout the UK and overseas.
