Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Care Co-ordinator to oversee and manage care services within a care home specialising in senior care. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, supervising staff, and maintaining effective communication with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with leadership experience in care settings to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives while developing their career further.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily care activities to meet individual resident needs, ensuring personalised care plans are followed accurately.
Supervise and support care staff, fostering a positive team environment and promoting best practices in senior care.
Develop, review, and update care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Organise staff rotas and allocate resources efficiently to ensure consistent and high-quality care delivery.
Maintain clear and professional communication with residents’ families regarding care updates and any concerns.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies across all aspects of care provision.
Oversee documentation processes using IT systems to record resident information, incidents, and care activities accurately.
Assist with the mobilisation of residents when necessary, including driving responsibilities if required.

Requirements

Proven experience supervising staff within a homecare or senior care environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise confidently with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Competent IT skills for managing electronic care plans and documentation systems.
Valid driving licence is desirable for transportation duties or attending external meetings.
Knowledge of developing and implementing personalised care plans tailored to individual needs.
Experience working within a children, young people or elderly care setting is highly advantageous.

Pay: £24,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
