Location: Bakewell
Hours: Part-Time, Term Time Only (But the chance to join the holiday workforce)

Role Overview

As an Afterschool Club Leader, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, educational, and enjoyable sessions for primary-aged children. You will encourage participation, build confidence, and create a safe and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality afterschool club sessions.
Create engaging activities suitable for primary-aged children.
Promote participation, creativity, teamwork, and personal development.
Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and company policies at all times.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, school staff, and colleagues.
Complete any required session planning and administrative tasks.

Essential Requirements

Experience working with children in a teaching, coaching, childcare, youth work, or activity leadership capacity.
Knowledge, qualifications, or demonstrable experience in at least one of the specialist areas listed above.
Ability to work independently and confidently lead sessions.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A passion for inspiring and developing young people.
Hold a current Enhanced DBS Certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one before employment.

Desirable Qualifications

Teaching qualification or relevant subject qualification.
Forest School qualification.
Sports coaching qualification.
Youth work qualification.
Experience delivering extracurricular or enrichment activities.
Paediatric First Aid certification.
