In this role you will:

Play a key role in crust operations, supporting the transformation of tanned hides into finished leather.

Operate a forklift truck as a core part of the role, supporting both incoming and outgoing goods across the operation.

Ensure the safe and responsible use of forklift equipment at all times.

Carry out a range of hands-on production tasks, contributing to overall operational flow and efficiency.

Maintain high standards of quality, ensuring customer specifications are consistently met.

Work flexibly across different operational areas when required, supporting wider team objectives.

Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and uphold a strong safety-first mindset.

Identify and escalate any concerns relating to safety, quality, or production performance.

Maintain clean, safe, and organised working environments.

Support team capability through mentoring and contributing to cross-skilling opportunities.

Contribute to meeting production targets while maintaining quality standards.

You’re someone who understands that safety, quality, and efficiency go hand in hand – where moving materials safely and precisely is just as important as keeping operations flowing.

You hold a current and valid forklift truck licence and are confident operating in a busy industrial environment.

You bring a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt across different areas of the operation.

You demonstrate a safety-first mindset, always working in line with procedures and looking out for others.

You take pride in accuracy and attention to detail, delivering work to a consistently high standard.

You work well as part of a team, building strong relationships and contributing to a positive environment.

You are organised and reliable, able to manage your workload and prioritise effectively.

You approach challenges with a solution-focused mindset, taking initiative and driving improvements.

You are open to feedback and committed to developing your skills and capability.
