Nuvolt Ltd delivers renewable energy systems including solar PV, battery storage and EV charging infrastructure. We are seeking qualified electricians to support the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of renewable energy systems across commercial projects.
This is a practical, site-based role working on renewable technology installations. The position involves working independently and as part of a team while liaising with clients and internal colleagues to ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly and in line with industry regulations and company procedures.
Role Overview
Nuvolt Ltd delivers renewable energy systems including solar PV, battery storage and EV charging infrastructure. We are seeking qualified electricians to support the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of renewable energy systems across commercial projects.
This is a practical, site-based role working on renewable technology installations. The role involves working independently and as part of a team while liaising with clients and internal colleagues to ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly and in line with industry regulations and company procedures.
Travel across multiple regions is required and the role may involve staying away from home approximately 2–3 nights per week depending on project locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test, commission and maintain solar PV, battery storage and EV charging systems
- Install electrical supplies for air source and ground source heat pumps
- Carry out electrical inspection, testing and certification in accordance with BS 7671
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on renewable technology systems
- Complete Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) where required
- Survey existing electrical installations and report findings
- Review drawings and specifications for accuracy and buildability
- Maintain installation records and documentation
- Follow company safety procedures, risk assessments and method statements
- Liaise with clients and internal teams and support system handover
Qualifications
Essential
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
Desirable
- Inspection and Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent)
- Solar PV installation and maintenance
- Battery storage systems
- EV charger installation training
- Heat pump electrical integration
Experience
Essential
- Experience as a qualified electrician within domestic or commercial environments
- Experience working to strict health and safety standards
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications
- Familiarity with commissioning procedures and fault finding

- Understanding of renewable technologies and their suitability for commercial buildings
