Contract: Permanent , 37.5 hours per week

Job Description

Join Our Team as a Payroll Administrator!

As a Payroll Administrator you will support our clients in the delivery of a successful and smooth payroll process including pension processing and HMRC RTI submission, assisting with year-end processes and various other payroll duties. You will also provide administrative support to the team, maintaining accurate records and support with client and colleague queries.

Role & Responsibilities

Preparing and processing weekly, monthly, and bi-weekly payroll using dedicated software
Understand and be able to calculate and deduct income tax, National Insurance, pension contributions, and other statutory deductions.
HMRC RTI submissions
Pension processing and auto-enrolments
Inputting payroll data into various systems
Liaise with HMRC
Answer queries from colleagues and clients, in a professional manner
CIS submissions
General administration tasks such as, filing, data entry, assisting in communications and paperwork.
Maintaining accurate records, ensuring client records are kept up to date
Auditing entered payroll data for accuracy and completeness
Reporting
Carry out year-end processes.
Immediately report problems that may impact on the organisation or our clients to the Payroll Manager
Daily completion of your timesheet

Required Experience

CIPP or 2 years’ experience in payroll
Knowledge of payroll software, such as SAGE 50
Ability to show initiative and work within a team
Ability to manage deadline and prioritise work effectively
Ability to build good client relationships.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to build rapport with people at various levels
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage own workload in a timely manner while all the time ensuring we exceed client expectations

Desired Skills

Bureau experience is preferred but not essential.
Accounts production software such as CCH desirable but not essential
