Job Title: Bank Care Assistant

Purpose of the Role:
To provide high-quality personal care and support to patients, residents, or service users while promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with personal care activities such as washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Support individuals with mobility and transferring safely.
Help with eating, drinking, and meal preparation where required.
Monitor and report changes in health, behavior, or wellbeing.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
Follow care plans and healthcare professionals' instructions.
Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
Adhere to safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety policies.
Assist with recreational and social activities.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

Compassionate and caring attitude.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and nights.
Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

Desirable:

Previous experience in health or social care.
NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
Manual handling and first aid training.

Working Conditions
