Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within the hospitality industry and develop your skills in food preparation, cooking, and general kitchen duties.

Duties

Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold hygiene standards
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen staff
Supporting the organisation and storage of ingredients and kitchen equipment
Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
Ensuring all kitchen areas are kept tidy and organised at all times to facilitate efficient workflow
Supporting serving staff during busy periods as needed

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and kitchen hygiene standards is desirable
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary sector
Flexibility to work shifts including evenings and weekends as required
Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles will be considered a plus
