Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MET Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicle body structures and components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, the ability to work with various hand and power tools, and physical strength for heavy lifting. The MET Technician plays a vital part in ensuring vehicles are restored to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed inspections of vehicle bodies to identify damage or defects
Repair or replace damaged panels, frames, and structural components using appropriate techniques
Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and modifications
Assist with the preparation of vehicles for painting or finishing processes
Perform heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large or bulky parts
Maintain a clean and organised workspace to ensure safety and efficiency
Follow all safety protocols and procedures during repair processes
Document repair work accurately and report any issues to supervisors promptly

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of vehicle structures and systems
Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers
Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and sanders
Physical strength for heavy lifting and manual handling of vehicle parts
Excellent attention to detail to ensure repairs meet quality standards
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely
