Company Overview
'Solidcor Ltd is a leading manufacturer of fire doors, committed to safety, quality, and innovation in the security industry. We pride ourselves on delivering reliable products that protect lives and property.'
This is a hands-on, factory quality engineering role for someone who thrives in a high paced customer focussed environment with product safety at its core. You will be embedded within the manufacturing operation, working with production, engineering, logistics and commercial teams to drive quality on site in support of and with guidance from the Quality Manager. What is needed is the ability to seek out weakness before it turns into a problem, to not shy away from responsibility and ownership and build systems as part of the team that prevents the sources of abnormality from returning.
Manufacturing products where quality is not negotiable. Our customers depend on it, and our people take that seriously. If you have a "mission first" mindset, a can-do attitude, and a genuine passion for getting things right, this role will give you the platform to make a real and lasting impact.
The role will require occasional periods of being the primary quality contact on site in the absence of the Quality Manager so capability, judgement, and ownership matter here.

▸ Support training of the QC inspectors and members of the wider team across all shifts.
Problem Solving & Abnormality Management
▸ Lead rapid response to abnormality incidents non-conformances, and customer complaints with urgency and structure
▸ Drive 8D Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for all significant quality events — from containment to verified closure
▸ Manage Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), ensuring effective installation and sustainability verification
▸ Organise and facilitate controlled, rapid change management activities, maintaining full traceability and compliance
▸ Manage abnormalities systematically, ensuring deviations are captured, escalated, contained, and resolved
Quality Systems & Compliance
▸ Author, maintain, and improve manufacturing procedures, work instructions, inspection plans, and quality standards under the guidance of the Quality manager.
▸ Conduct internal audits of processes, product, and systems — identifying gaps and driving improvements
