Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar and restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests. The successful applicant will play a key role in driving sales, supervising food and beverage preparation, and fostering a team-oriented environment.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of bar staff, including bartenders and serving personnel
Oversee food and beverage preparation, ensuring quality standards are met consistently
Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage in line with food safety regulations
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards across the premises
Lead the team in delivering excellent customer service and resolving any guest concerns promptly
Organise staff rotas, training sessions, and performance reviews to maintain high team morale and efficiency
Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with hygiene standards
Assist with menu development, including cocktail creation and food pairing options

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant environment, ideally as a Bar Manager or similar role
Extensive bar & restaurant experience
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment
Knowledge of hospitality operations, including serving, bar production, and supplier relationship management experience
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
Demonstrated leadership qualities with a focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence
Relevant certifications in food safety and hygiene are preferred
