Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Bread Baker/Pastry Chef to join our team at Frankley's Bakery located inside of The Wheelbarrow ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and baking bread with a keen eye for detail and a dedication to delivering high-quality Artisan breads & pastries . This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft artisanal bread and exquisite pastries in a professional kitchen environment, contributing to the overall dining experience of our establishments.

Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a variety of bread, pastries, and other baked goods according to established recipes and quality standards
Assist in the development of new baked products, experimenting with flavours and techniques
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during food preparation and handling
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery area, including equipment and work surfaces
Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure consistency and excellence in every product
Collaborate with the kitchen team to meet production deadlines and optimise workflow
Manage ingredient inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure smooth operations

Experience

Proven experience in food production, specialising in baking or pastry arts
Demonstrable skills in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a professional setting
Previous experience working in a bakery, restaurant, or similar culinary environment is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
Familiarity with culinary techniques related to baking, pastry creation, and presentation
Prior experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment is advantageous
