Story Electrical & Sons Ltd is a well-established electrical contracting business covering Market Deeping, Stamford, Rutland and South Lincolnshire. We've built our name on quality materials, high workmanship standards, and full regulatory compliance — we don't compete on price, and we don't cut corners. Now we're looking for an experienced EV Installer & Maintenance Engineer to join our growing EV charging division.

What you'll be doing:

Installing domestic and commercial EV charge points to Part P and manufacturer specification
Fault finding, servicing and ongoing maintenance of existing installations
Site surveys, load assessments, and liaising with DNOs on grid connection where needed
Testing and certifying completed work, including minor works and EICR documentation
Working alongside our wider team on new build and renovation projects
Responding to maintenance callouts professionally and promptly
Representing Story Electrical's standards on every job, every time

What we're looking for:

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent), 18th Edition
EV charging qualification (e.g. C&G 2921-34) — or a genuine willingness to gain one, with our support
OZEV approved installer status or 2391-52 desirable but not essential
Full UK driving licence
A customer-focused approach that matches our reputation for quality over price

Package:

£36,000–£42,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications
Enhanced rate for out-of-hours emergency callouts
Company van and fuel card

Funded training toward further EV, testing, and inspection qualifications
