Full job description

This is a hands-on role in a small, growing food manufacturing business. You’ll be helping with production, packing, cleaning, stock control, order preparation, and general day-to-day operations.

The role includes frequent lifting and moving of 25kg bags of sugar, standing for extended periods and repetitive tasks.

The work is practical, hands-on, and physical, so you will not enjoy this job if you do not relish a physical challenge, or if you cannot maintain a high work rate.

We want someone with a proactive attitude who can use their initiative, solve problems, and take pride in helping us produce the best possible product while continually improving how we work.

Typical duties include:

Preparing packaging for production
Operating filling and sealing machinery
Cleaning production equipment, utensils, work surfaces, and floors
Managing stock, deliveries, order packing
Keeping work areas clean, organised, and food-safe
Supporting general business tasks as needed

Requirements

No qualifications or experience are needed - just the determination to work hard as part of the team. However, you do need to be detail oriented, practical, and comfortable working in a fast paced production environment.

Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
Good attention to detail
Comfortable with physical, hands-on work
Able to follow instructions and hygiene procedures carefully
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, as the premises are in a rural location.

Hours: Full time, 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday. Overtime, including occasional weekend work, may be available during busy periods.

Wage: £15 per hour.

Location: Arrington SG8

Start date: ASAP

Benefits: Statutory paid holiday entitlement of 28 days per year, including bank holidays, and enrolment into a workplace pension scheme in line with UK auto-enrolment rules.

The role will be subject to a three-month probationary period, during which performance, reliability, and suitability for the role will be reviewed.

Pay: £15.00 per hour
