Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Bar Manager to support the daily operations of our vibrant hospitality venue. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for excellent service, and a solid background in food and beverage management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a lively team environment, ensuring exceptional customer experiences while maintaining high standards of food safety and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Assist the Bar Manager in overseeing all aspects of bar operations, including staff supervision, stock management, and customer service.
Lead and motivate team members to deliver outstanding service, ensuring consistency and professionalism across all shifts.
Coordinate food preparation and ensure quality standards are met in line with health and safety regulations.
Supervise the serving of beverages and food, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Manage daily opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reporting.
Support in organising training programmes related to food safety, culinary techniques, and hospitality best practices.
Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
Uphold high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety throughout the venue.
Assist with event planning or special functions as required, ensuring smooth execution from start to finish.

Qualifications

Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality environments, with a focus on food preparation, cooking, or bar service.
Supervising experience with team management responsibilities within a busy setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
Demonstrated leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Familiarity with kitchen experience or hotel operations is advantageous.
Previous experience as a barista or in serving roles is desirable but not essential.
A genuine passion for hospitality combined with excellent communication skills. This role is ideal for motivated individuals looking to develop their career within the hospitality industry while contributing to a lively and professional team environment.

Pay: £13.50-£14.50 per hour
