We are looking for a reliable and organised Stores Person to join our team, this role is responsible for operating a smooth-running engineering store with stock, parts and equipment, ensuring parts are available when needed to support the engineering and production operations. The ideal candidate will have good attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively. Previous Stores, Warehouse, or Engineering experience is desirable although full training can be provided for the right person as this is a development role.
Key responsibilities:
- Organise and structure the engineering stores to improve accessibility, efficiency, and control
- Manage stock levels, and goods-in processes in line with site requirements.
- Issue parts efficiently to the engineering team.
- Maintain accurate stock records and ensure system integrity using stock management systems and MRP systems.
- Support ongoing improvements to stores layout, labelling, and categorisation, and goods-in processes
- Promote and maintain strong standards within the store’s environment.
- Liaise with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure critical spares availability.
- Conduct daily cycle counts on inventory to maintain accuracy. Maintain clear and consistent stock identification across all systems and physical locations.
- Carry out goods in and goods out processes, including receiving, inspecting, labelling and safely storing materials.
- Act as a professional onsite presence, supporting strong working relationships with the customer.
- Work with Wolds management team to improve stores processes and daily operations.
- Will involve several days travelling to site at Corby to carry out the role. Company van will be provided and travel will be within normal working hours.
About you:
· Experience in an Engineering Stores or a Stores in Manufacturing (preferred)
· Proven experience coordinating and maintaining stocks in a store.
· Proficient with inventory/ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools
· Confident communicator who can liaise effectively with internal & external teams.
· Proactive and solution-focused approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
